Qatar has a desert climate with two clearly defined seasons, and which one your event falls in changes almost everything about how comfortable, and how successful, an outdoor setup will be.

Winter is the outdoor event season

Qatar's winter runs roughly from November through March, with average daytime temperatures typically sitting between 22°C and 30°C and cooler evenings that make terraces, gardens, and waterfront venues genuinely pleasant. Rainfall is minimal even in winter, and when it does occur it is usually short and light rather than prolonged. This is why the majority of outdoor weddings, galas, and large public celebrations in Qatar are scheduled in these months.

Clear skies and mild daytime temperatures in the cooler months make lawns and waterfront lawns practical for full-scale outdoor setups.

Summer changes the plan, not the possibility

From around May through September, Qatar's summer brings intense heat, with daytime highs regularly climbing above 40°C and July typically the hottest month of the year. Outdoor events are not impossible in summer, but they need to be shifted later into the evening, supported with cooling and shade, or moved indoors altogether. Humidity also tends to rise in the summer months, which adds to how the heat feels even after sunset.
